Earlier this week, we published a story about the best-dressed ladies at the Met Gala, so we have decided to focus this week’s Sally Award on the best-dressed gentleman of the week. This week’s Sally Award for best party look goes to British actor, Benedict Cumberbatch, at Monday night’s Met Gala in New York City. While many of the gents, including Ryan Reynolds, Tom Brady and Douglas Booth, looked dapper at the Gala, which raised a record-breaking $12 million for the Metropolitan Museum of Art, none represented the party’s white-tie theme better than Cumberbatch.
Best known for his role in the BBC television show, Sherlock, Cumberbatch was elegance personified in a Ralph Lauren purple label black tuxedo tailcoat white pique shawl vest, formal white wing-tip bib shirt and white bowtie.
Gentlemen, looking for a guide to white-tie dressing? Here’s a great one.
