The Party: The Nantucket By Design All-Star Private Dinners are a group of chic and intimate dinner parties that take place on one summer night on Nantucket—hosted by Nantucket philanthropists in beautiful private homes and featuring luminaries from the design world as the guests of honor.
Party host Jason Tilroe welcomed guests to his home, a large brick mansion built in 1834 at the height of Nantucket’s prosperity.
The Beneficiary: The All-Star Private Dinners are part of Nantucket By Design, a week-long design event that benefits the Nantucket Historical Association, a non-profit organization whose mission is to tell the inspiring stories of Nantucket through its collections, programs, and properties.

What We Loved: Having a rare opportunity to dine with design luminaries in an intimate setting; being able to tour some of the most beautiful and important historical homes on Nantucket; and enjoying the fresh, seasonal menus created by the island’s top caterers, including nationally renowned “entertainologist” and part-time Nantucket resident, Lulu Powers.
Alisa and Alistair Wood’s dinner table featured classic Nantucket design elements.
How to Attend: The 2018 Nantucket By Design event, which is chaired by Salonniere 100 honoree Phoebe Tudor, will take place from August 1-4.
