Benoît-Pierre Emery, Creative Director for La Table Hermès, recently hosted a whimsical brunch at the Hermès boutique on Madison Avenue in New York City to celebrate the launch of the luxury brand’s latest tabletop collection, “A Walk in the Garden” by Nigel Peake.
To celebrate the collection, which the company calls “a lush and graphic garden [that] exudes the sweet smell of sunny siestas” (and which we call “the ‘Peake’ of chic”), the store was transformed into the most luxurious cantina one might ever hope to visit.

Called “Hermès Self Service,” the space included rolling beverage carts and restaurant-style “tray trucks”—all in Hermès orange, of course. But these trays were Hermès all the way—featuring the most delicious Parisian-inspired brunch offerings served on a selection of the company’s porcelain dinnerware. After queuing up and taking a tray, each guest grabbed a seat at one of the communal dining tables.

Adding to the atmosphere was the fashionable group of party guests, including Derek Lam, Waris Ahluwalia, Natalie Lim Suarez, Dylana Suarez, Annabelle Moehlmann, Diet Prada, Charlotte Groeneveld, Erica Choi, Alex Assouline, Salonniere 100 honoree Stephanie Nass, Juliette Longuet, Ulla Parker, Priscilla Monnier, and Peake.
The “Hermès Self Service” installation, which will be on view at the New York store at 691 Madison Avenue through October 27, rolls into the Dubai store later this year.
