Sarah Hyland in Zac Posen at the 2015 Emmy Awards

Come on in, doll. It’s time to talk Emmy fashions and hand out a Sally Award for one of the best party looks of the year. While Lady Gaga in Brandon Maxwell had us, well, gaga over how truly glammy she can look, it was this head-to-toe berry look on Sarah Hyland that had us positively sanguine about the fashion future of Awards season. So splendid on our gal, this chic Zac Posen number showcased two of our favorite fashion trends for fall: the shoulder as the new focal point and the return of oxblood as the hue of the moment. Styled by Brad Goreski, this Sally-Award-winning party look also included a jaw-dropping mix of ruby jewels by Lorraine Schwartz and Ofira like these babies. Now gather in close as we share the inside scoop on our gal’s flawless maquillage…

To complement the rich tone of her frock, makeup artist Allan Avendaño started with St Tropez’s One Night Only Bronzing Lotion to give Sarah a sun-kissed look. He added definition and dimension with this contouring kit from It Cosmetics and highlighted her eyes, forehead and the bridge of her nose with a touch of the company’s Bye Bye Under Eye Color Corrector. He used this fall-toned shadow palette from Dior and Ardell lashes to build an attention-getting smoky eye and put her lips in a supporting role by lining and shaping them with It Cosmetics’ Your Lips But Better Lip Liner in Blushing Nude. Celebrity manicurist Christina Aviles Aude nailed the polish choice with Essie’s Berry Naughty followed by a matte topcoat for an au courant touch.

Bravo, Sarah. We’re inspired. Here’s to you and your modern glam squad family.
