Orange Blossom and Lemon Verbena Cocktail on The Salonniere

Today is National Orange Blossom Day, and we’ll be celebrating with this fizzy, herbal, and refreshing cocktail. Join us, won’t you?

Orange Blossom and Lemon Verbena Fizz


Small handful of lemon verbena leaves
1/2 tablespoon orange blossom water
1 ounce lemon verbena syrup
1 ounce gin
Soda water
Lemon to garnish


Muddle the lemon verbena leaves with the back of a spoon in an 8-ounce glass, bruising them a little. Pack the glass with ice. Pour in the orange blossom water, syrup, and gin and stir. Top off with the soda water. Stir, garnish with lemon, and enjoy.

What is an Orange Blossom?

The orange blossom is the fragrant flower of the orange tree. Orange blossom petals are used to make orange blossom water, which is used often in French and Middle Eastern desserts.  You can read more about orange blossoms here.
