Bar cart

Liz and Dick offered me a drink and rolled a bar cart in from their bedroom, which was its permanent abode, and the conversation afterwards was limited to a discussion of 17th century poetry. Pony up to the bar cart, baby, I feel a party coming on.

After posting our story in January about how to accessorize a bar cart, we received many wonderful pieces of Internet post asking where one can buy a stylish drinks cart. It warms our hearts to know that so many people share our view that a house is not a home without a bar cart or two. So, today, as part of our Bee’s Knees section, we’re sharing our list of the 10 chicest bar carts on the market today. Perhaps one will inspire you.

Of course, while researching this story, I fell madly in love with this rare little Aldo Tura gem circa 1950 and let it have its way with me. It arrived from Austria yesterday and has taken its rightful position as a side table between two chairs in our family room.  When it’s time to entertain, I’ll simply replace the picture frames and books that adorn it currently with some giggle water and glasses. Ah, the versatility of a well-designed and good-looking drinks cart.
